200 children from 20 schools in Liverpool and greater Merseyside joined together to stand up to bullying in the Anglican Cathedral. Knotty Ash staff and children shared the joy of BSL by training children from schools across the North-West, Northern Ireland and Yorkshire! They performed two songs - 'This Is Me' and 'One And Only'.
At Knotty Ash, we're all proud of who we are and the uniqueness that each of us bring to our school family.
At Knotty Ash, we are a Sign-Bilingual school. This means that all children and staff learn British Sign Language (BSL) as well as English.
On 28th Jan 2022, the BSL Act was presented in parliament and was passed without opposition. There are two more stages it has to go through before it becomes law, but today DRB celebrated. The BSL Act will make BSL an official, protected language of the UK - so important for our Deaf children and adults at Knotty Ash.
